I am a third-year student at Chulalongkorn University. I grew up on a small island in southern Thailand, where plastic waste scattered along the beach once seemed normal to everyone, including myself. Only later did I realize that this familiar scene was actually a warning of a growing environmental crisis. As I matured, I began to understand the real impacts of this waste and how serious the issues had become.
For me, design is not just about aesthetics—it is a way to tell stories, connect people, and remind us that environmental problems are shared responsibilities we must face together.
我目前就讀於 朱拉隆功大學三年級。我成長於泰國南部的一座小島，童年時，海灘上散落的塑膠垃圾對當地人而言——包括我自己——似乎是再尋常不過的景象。直到後來我才意識到，這樣熟悉的畫面其實正是環境危機逐漸擴大的警訊。隨著年齡增長，我開始真正理解這些廢棄物所帶來的影響，以及問題的嚴重性。
對我而言，設計不只是關於美感——它是一種說故事的方式、一種連結人與人的媒介，也是一種提醒：環境問題是我們共同的責任，必須一起面對與承擔。
／Description and concept of the artwork
作品描述與概念／
The inspiration for “ReShell” comes from a childhood memory of finding a dead sea turtle entangled in ropes and marine debris. That heartbreaking image stayed with me and sparked the idea of creating a design that communicates the impacts of ocean waste.
This work draws inspiration from the patterns of a sea turtle’s shell, reflecting not only the beauty of nature but also symbolizing a protective armor for fragile marine life.
ReShell is therefore more than an aesthetic object; it is a symbol intended to raise awareness and encourage society to recognize the consequences of marine debris.
《ReShell》 的靈感來自一段童年記憶——我曾在海邊發現一隻被繩索與海洋廢棄物纏繞、早已死亡的海龜。那令人心碎的畫面深深烙印在我心中，並成為我創作此設計的起點，希望藉此傳達海洋垃圾所造成的真實衝擊。
本作品取材自 海龜甲殼的紋理結構，不僅反映自然本身的美，也象徵著脆弱海洋生命所需的保護盔甲。
因此，《ReShell》 不只是一件具有美感的設計作品，更是一個象徵——旨在喚起大眾對海洋廢棄物問題的關注，並促使社會正視其所帶來的後果與責任。
