The crafted model revives memory, heritage and tradition by pairing rustic aesthetics with contemporary forms. Recycled denim and sentimental details, such as grandmother’s lace doilies, create a bridge between past and present. Lace fills the knee slits of the jeans and softly outlines the corset’s upper edge. Patchwork joins small denim pieces into large floral forms along the jeans’ sides. A short crinoline, barely covering the hips, is enriched with flowers cut from thin denim strips. Macramé hand-knotting adds texture to the vest’s back, where painted white stems shimmer. The vest’s front features three-dimensional floral motifs created by canadian smocking. The jeans widen into four-panel bell bottoms: half dyed with shibori to form soft circular & floral patterns, half marked with faded bleached prints. Botanical embroidery of varied threads adorns the corset’s lower edge, unifying the garments into a poetic statement on nature, recycling, and craftsmanship.
