The rhythm of tradition echoes the rhythm of our hearts.

At De Quarr, led by Khun Silver, we collaborate with communities across Northern Thailand to create contemporary designs rooted in ancestral wisdom. Each partnership begins with listening—understanding skills, stories, and hopes—before co-creating products that honor cultural identity and meet today’s needs.

Our work with the Po Karen people of Omkoi reflects this shared journey. From Mae Laboy, an 80-year-old master weaver, comes a textile tradition shaped by cotton grown, spun, and naturally dyed from the forest. Together, we reimagined her weaving into modern bags that carry function, dignity, and pride.

One woven piece can change a life. Income from Mae Laboy’s craft supported her grandson’s online education, helping him graduate in law and opening possibilities once thought distant.

Each creation invites you to look beyond the object—to the people, culture, and living traditions woven into every thread.

[Theme Community & fair Work]

Mae Laboy
