PlastiClean uses recycled plastic bags as its primary material, transforming discarded plastics into garments through crochet techniques. The project begins with material exploration, revealing the potential of waste in fashion design and employs craftsmanship to up-cycle discarded plastics, giving them new life.

In addition to addressing the urgent issue of global plastic pollution, the project employs speculative design to envision possible futures. It uses fashion as a medium to provoke reflection on our relationship with plastic.

An accompanying film further extends this vision, depicting a future where discarded plastics are redefined and reintegrated into everyday life.

Through visual storytelling and design, the project invites audiences to consider how fashion might exist in a more sustainable form.

Through innovative design and environmentally conscious practice, the project aims to respond to current ecological challenges and explore new pathways toward a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.
