Perspectives on Tradition and Future, Sustainability and Fashion, and Life.

I defend the use of the poetic and symbolic charge of the materials, to give them a second life, to take advantage of their origin and their collection and to treat the production process as a constant search to provide metaphorical baggage to both the material and the processes used, turning the pieces into a transforming agent that purifies the body and the spirit, that heals

The Concept and Description of the Work關於參展作品的創作動機與設計理念

This series of pieces was made after I had experienced Holy Week in Taxco, in the state of Guerrero in Mexico. After a deep research on the rituals of the penitents, who made their offering of pain and blood, I collected from the Huixteco mountain (like them) the organic materials and the thorns with which I built the different sculptures, sewing them on my bed linens. They come to be a work offering, an offering of pain. Corsets and nightgowns that cover, defend and protect the most vulnerable and intimate areas of my body with their thorns embroidered with my own bare hands.
