The outfit consists of a jacket and a pair of pants, and is a statement of acceptance, identity, and care for people and the planet, in line with SUSFUTURE’s “Love Me as I Am.” Both pieces are crafted from recovered materials: cords from factory leftovers and second-hand curtains are transformed and repurposed: the curtains are heat-burned for patchwork on the pants and butterfly-style sleeves, while the jacket is enriched by sewing threads unraveled from the cords. The rest of the materials are remnants from the faculty’s storage, carefully given new life. Through these sustainable techniques, fashion becomes more than self-expression: it is a shield, a voice, and a declaration of resistance. In a world quick to judge, these garments show that hiding is not weakness but necessity, and revealing oneself is an act of authenticity. The collection challenges societal norms, embraces diverse identities, and highlights environmental care. |
